Microtransactions
Overview: This explainer video was created with my partner Kayla Chester. Our explainer video is about micro transactions and how they effect the gaming community. Kayla and I took on specific roles for this project. I worked on the script and VoiceOver, and she developed the storyboard, then collaborated on the changes. We shared the responsibility for the illustrations. Our goal was to briefly explain the meaning of micro transactions and the reason why game developers add it to their games.
Software: Illustrator, AfterEffects, & Voice Memo (MacOS)
Design Process
After writing the script and recording the VoiceOver. We moved on to the storyboard and created an animatic.
After completing the animatic we made a few adjustments before moving on to Adobe illustrator to create the illustration for our video. We agreed on an illustration style and continued to collaborate on the detailed storyboard.
The storyboard was finished and we exported each element as individual ai files then transitioned to Adobe AfterEffects for the motion portion of the project.
