Cloudy With a Chance
Overview: This is a GIF I created to display a font I've also created called "Cloudy With a Chance" I struggled looking for a fount that looked like clouds, so I figured to create my on font to use. To create my typeface I used a software called FontSelf. The inspiration for this gif grew during finals week. All I wanted to do is sleep once the semester was over and I wanted to show my mood through the design of this gif.
Software: Illustrator, AfterEffects, & FontSelf
Design Process
I started with creating the font in Adobe Illustrator then installing the extension FontSelf. As I assigned each individual vector to a letter or number, I saved the file into a .otf for future use in other programs and the web.
Once I've got the hard part out of the way, I started to work on the illustration for the gif. I left out all the moving parts for the gif so I can transition them into Adobe AfterEffects as layers to control.
